  All Cadillac V-Club members are invited to join our first Zoom web conference for an online meeting with Clifford Salvesen, Motorsports Technical Advisor for North America at ExxonMobil.

  ExxonMobil has now received the official General Motors endorsement for Mobil 1 Supercar 0W-40 as the recommended oil for all Cadillac V-Series going back to 2003/4 (inception) with the exception of the twin turbo V6 engine.  This endorsement was announced at the recent Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta and Clifford will be reviewing this endorsement during this Mobil 1 Tech Talk.

  At this time, General Motors is not willing to publish a recommendation for Mobil 1 Supercar 0W-40 for the twin turbo V6 engines without further testing since GM is required to verify that any recommendation meets all fuel economy and emission requirements and there is no testing on record to verify this for Mobil 1 Supercar 0W-40 oil for the twin turbo V6 engine.
  
  Therefore, the LF4 engines in the ATS-V and CT4-Blackwing are impacted by this exception.  All Cadillac V-Series twin turbo V6 engine owners should refer to their owner’s manual for the OEM recommendation for both oil and filter.

  RSVP registration via CadillacVClub.com is mandatory to confirm your attendance and receive access to the ZOOM credentials necessary to participate in the meeting.  You will need to install the ZOOM app on either your mobile or desktop device in order to participate.  The meeting will begin promptly on May 16 at 5:00PM PST, 7:00PM CST and 8:00PM EST.    
  
  Mobil 1 values your feedback.  This is your opportunity to interact with key Mobil 1 team members regarding the performance features of your vehicle and provide direct feedback on your personal ownership experience. 
  
  This meeting will be moderated by Gene Hawks, the Cadillac V-Club President.  Due to ZOOM attendee limitations, this event is restricted to only members of the Cadillac V-Club and to the first 100 members who RSVP to attend.

  No speed limits, no pedestrians, no stoplights, but best of all – no tickets. The Cadillac V-Club in partnership with The Drivers Edge will provide you with an experienced instructor to help guide you through the event, one on one, as you learn how to handle your car at the limit. You set your own goals and only go as fast as you feel comfortable going. Progress as far as you wish in your own car at your own pace, become a safer driver on the street, and have a blast along the way!

  High Performance Driver Education (HPDE) refers to a track day held on a dedicated road racing track designed to teach drivers proper high speed driving in a controlled environment. 

  The cost to participate will be determined by the program level you select and you will be provided with an experienced instructor, classroom sessions in between run groups, and over two hours of dedicated track time plus classroom instruction.

  1. you must be a licensed driver
  2. you will need a helmet rated Snell 2015 or later
  3. drive a vehicle that will pass a track inspection
  4. read and acknowledge The Drivers Edge rules
  5. read and acknowledge The Drivers Edge refund policy
  6. completing tech inspection form 30 days prior to event date
  7. signing the The Drivers Edge waiver

  This is an excellent opportunity to test your track driving skills in a safe environment behind the wheels of your Cadillac V.  Drivers Edge offers a curriculum that goes beyond that of typical performance driving schools.  The programs are designed for drivers of all experience levels and includes techniques and skills you can apply with the assistance of your in-car instructor.  Classroom sessions are brief but informative. You will leave this event with improved driving confidence in yourself and your Cadillac V-Series vehicle!
