MOEHPDE will once again host the Philly V-Club at NJMP on Friday Sep 18th - Car Show & Parade Laps.

  • 06/13/2026 9:00 AM | Fernando Reiser

On June 13th, Delaware Cadillac is having a customer appreciation and Car Show in celebration of their 110th anniversary.  It would be great if you could drop by say hello to the Cadillac V-Club Philly Chapter sponsoring dealer, Harry Boyer and the Delaware Cadillac Team.  The event runs from 9 AM until 1PM, so stop in early.

Delaware Cadillac has reached another milestone that is rare for businesses today-the dealership on Pennsylvania Avenue turns 110 years old in 2026.

Delaware Cadillac was originally founded in 1916 as Delaware Motor Sales Company, with its first showroom located in the center of town at Tenth and King Streets in Wilmington. A once-busy pedestrian and trolley district gave way to more and more vehicles, many brought to town by Delaware Motor Sales, and the showroom was moved to its current location on nearby Pennsylvania Avenue in 1939.

Until 1966, the local, family-owned dealership was the sole Cadillac distributorship for the entire Delmarva Peninsula, and had served the four-state area that includes Delaware, the counties surrounding Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and the eastern shore of Maryland for over a century. In 1982, the current owners acquired the business. Today, Delaware Cadillac has won the Cadillac Dealer of the Year Award, numerous Cadillac Master Dealer awards, has two World-Class Technical Achievement Master Cadillac Technicians, is one of only a few Cadillac Certified Elite Servicing dealers in the entire northeastern United States, is the # 1 Volume Selling Cadillac Dealer for the 6th Year in a Row in the Philadelphia Sales District, the # 1 Volume Selling Cadillac Sedan selling dealer in the entire North East for 2025, is the # 1 Volume Selling Cadillac CT4-V Series dealer in the WORLD for 2025, and has sold vehicles to customers in 47 U.S. States in the last 5 years - including Alaska and Hawaii.

The company has a longstanding reputation for supporting a variety of community organizations such as the Ministry of Caring, United Way of Delaware, Better Business Bureau, Delaware State Chamber of Commerce, the Christiana Care Health System, Ronald McDonald Charities, Nemours Children's Hospital, and many others.

Michael Uffner, President and CEO of Delaware Cadillac and AutoTeam Delaware, said, "Cadillac has been a beloved brand since the Runabout and Tonneau were rolled out in 1902. It is an honor that the people of the Brandywine Valley and greater Philadelphia and Delmarva areas have continuously looked to Delaware Cadillac to provide them with the one stylish, yet practical, luxury that has become such an important part of the American lifestyle. Our clients have trusted us to provide the reliable American vehicles that they have depended upon for all these years. One hundred and ten years means countless great stories from our friends and neighbors.
