Virginia's Chapter Director Announcement

Matthew "Matt" Aiken has been selected as the new Virginias Chapter Director. Bill Lorenzo relinquished the role after being appointed as the new President/CEO of the Cadillac V-Club. Matt has been an active member of the Cadillac V-Club since August of 2022 and owns 2022 CT4-V Blackwing. He serves as the Chief of Staff for VA’s Office of Research and Development, is a proud U.S. Army veteran, having retired from the U.S. Army Reserve Nurse Corps.

Matt is passionate about cars, especially Cadillac high performance luxury vehicles. He is committed to maintaining the momentum and enthusiasm created by Bill Lorenzo during the past couple of years and looks forward to serving as a member of the Cadillac V-Club Operational Team and representing the Atlantic Northeast Region on our Board of Directors.

He has had a long-time interest in the Cadillac brand and values the ownership experience. He has owned a 2008 and a 2015 Escalade and now a 2022 CT4-V Blackwing. The Blackwing is his first true performance car as I have mainly owned SUVs. Matt stated "The Cadillac V-Club demonstrates the best American performance engineering has to offer an astounding level of team loyalty and community support not currently matched by other local clubs in our surrounding communities. Serving in this new leadership role will allow me to continue the great contributions and support to community causes and build on my long-lasting service to both my community and the country."

Matt's background includes extensive experience in program development and process improvement in contingency operations. His over 30-year federal career spans several organizations, including the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the Office of the Army Surgeon General, the Pentagon Force Protection Agency, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response, and the U.S. Army. He has also worked as a Nurse Manager with several NYC agencies, including the Department of Juvenile Justice, the Department of Health, and the Health and Hospitals Corporation.

Matt and his wife, Tanya have three daughters, two granddaughters, and a grandson.

Communications Director Announcement

Andrew "Andy" Vogel has been selected as the Cadillac V-Club Communications Director. Andy has been an active member of the Cadillac V-Club since March of 2024 and owns a 2024 CT5-V Blackwing. In this volunteer role as a member of our Management Operational Leadership Team, he is responsible for "one brand voice", our media relations and reputation management through the publication of Cadillac V-Club blog pages, email Newsflashes, Press Releases, hardcopy and online Newsletters and all official social media content posted. Andy will also serve on our Board of Directors.

Andy commented "Cars have been a defining part of my life, shaping not only my passions but also the work ethic and determination I bring to everything I do. In 1985, while my dad was negotiating for a new family car, I found myself standing in front of a brand-new Corvette in the showroom. Those huge rear tires, the shape, the stance. It just grabbed me. That moment sparked a lifelong passion for automobiles and the culture around them".

Andy's Dad was a huge influence on both his automotive passion and work ethic. He taught Andy how to fix discarded machines and bring them back to life, things like (lawnmowers, bicycles, go-carts, weedwhackers, etc). When he was 15, they took a 77 Nova with a frozen engine and rebuilt it and got back on the road in time for Andy's 16th birthday.

His Mom played an equally important role in his passion. A drag racer when she was younger, she shared my love for cars, and on family road trips we’d make a game of identifying them by nothing more than their headlights, taillights, or silhouette. We built models together, and as I got older, test-driving cars became our thing. Between his Dad teaching Andy how to work on cars and his Mom teaching him to appreciate cars for their look and sound, his automotive passion became more than a hobby... they became a part of who he is and his lifestyle.

Andy built a career, raised a family, and kept his passion alive in intentional ways. When Cadillac launched the CTS-V, he saw the spirit of the American performance cars that he adored, combined with the refinement he needed for daily life. Andy has owned four V-Series Cadillacs since 2008, each one a personal milestone, proof that hard work could keep a passion alive. So, when he bought the CT5-V Blackwing in 2024 and joined the Cadillac V-Club, it felt like he came home. Andy said, "In the Virginias Chapter, I’ve been lucky to be part of a core group that "shows up". Whether it’s wrenching on a project, diagnosing an issue, or just being the first to say, “Let’s meet up.” Those friendships are why the Cadillac V-Club is important and special to me".

Professionally, Andy has spent more than 20 years in consulting, including and most recently with Booz Allen Hamilton, where communication, leadership, and relationship-building have been at the core of my career. I’ve built and led diverse, decentralized teams across the country, supporting the Veterans Health Administration on major telecommunications, data center, and hospital modernization projects.
